Edsall said Devin Burns came to him and asked to move to quarterback to help provide depth. Will work with the 3s. [...] Perry Hills is No. 1, Caleb Rowe is No. 2 and Devin Burns is No. 3

Both via Twitter; Patrick Stevens on the first, the Diamondback on the second. Looks like this was the only thing of note to come out of the press conference. Burns moving to QB is quite intriguing; he did manage to quarterback one of the best teams in Georgia in high school, and played there for his redshirt season at Maryland. He was seen as very C.J. Brown-esque as a QB, with a lot of athleticism and explosiveness but some questionable accuracy. I'm not sold he'll be a better fit than Hill or Rowe, who have been studying the playbook and taking snaps at QB under Locksley for longer than Burns has. But hey, he helps to make up the bodies and it's not like Maryland's lacking in wide receiver depth. For what it's worth, Edsall refused to name Hills as officially the starter, which means this is still a competition. Any of the three could probably factor in between now and Sept. 1.
