I figure it'd be worthwhile for us to have a central thread for discussion surrounding the Roddy Peters visit, today. If anyone sees him on campus, write your stories in the comments. The same with any speculation regarding his impressions, whether he gives a silent commitment, or a non-silent one, arguments on what the best thing for the program is, etc.

Personally, I'm very much in favor of us taking Peters now if he's willing to make it official. I know people have been squeaking about class imbalance and too many guards, etc. Villanova built up their program with 3-guard sets and pushing up the floor...something that Turge has said he'd like to try.

I'm confident that Turge will be able to modify his scheme to account for whatever talent we have on our roster, and having a top 50 backup (?) PG would be unprecedented for Maryland since the days of Lefty Driesell, if it's ever happened at all. The fact that he's willing to take on that role is outstanding, and would only sweeten the pot for the Harrison twins to come. Along with that, if they do wind up going elsewhere, we'll still be in great shape. We've had years without a true PG, where we struggled...last year comes to mind. Let's embrace the prospect of redundancy.
