While I agree with many on here who believe RE needs to produce results on the field, I disagree with how quickly we are to make broad, sweeping determinations about topics in the blink of an eye. I realize this is because of today's society being "plugged in" 24/7 but we can't always get what we want, when we want it. Occasionally, we have to be patient. In no way am I intending to say that RE doesn't have things he needs to improve. He's a human being, like the rest of us. We all have areas where we could be better.
I like that RE expects more out of the young men he brings in to the program. I think our standards for what is acceptable, in general not just at UMD, have fallen too low. Given some time, I think RE can do what Terps fans want him to do. He was able to build a respectable program at UCONN, where football was an afterthought. If he doesn't do that at UMD, then you will get what you want, which seems to be a new coach. If he does do it, then we all get a program we can be proud to root for, and we won't have to worry about the types of scandals that have plagued other major college programs.
