If Bakich's move to Michigan has a silver lining, it's that former "volunteer coach" Eric Milton has been named interim coach. I don't know how much experience Milton has as a coach, but he certainly had a distinguished major league career. It's not surprising that the 2012 pitching corps showed marked improvement over previous years. Milton is supposedly leading the search for a full-time coach. My hope is that he can persuade current talent on the team to stay at Maryland.
