Damonte Dodd won't enroll at Maryland this year. He's headed to Massanutten, per his AAU coach Damon Handon.

via Evan Daniels on Twitter And so we have our answer. Maryland had the space for him, so it's either due to grades or a preference to get him more playing time - the latter, if I had to guess. He'll get plenty of run at Massanutten, which isn't a traditional powerhouse on the prep scene. Still, they'll play enough of the big names - the Miller School, Brewster, Notre Dame, Hargrave - to make it more than worthwhile, especially given how raw he still is. I also expect we'll start to see some scouts salivate over him now that they'll get a better look. The worry, of course, is that he'll get stolen by a bigger name; I'm not too concerned about it, actually - he seems to be in love with the school - but nothing in recruiting is ever certain until it's certain. This effectively makes Dodd into a 2013 prospect, and he'll enter the program the same time Evan Smotrycz becomes eligible. Talk about front court reinforcements.
