This year is an odd one for MD football with so little depth on the roster. Perhaps no position is this more glaring than at the QB spot. Right now CJ Brown is the man. But behind him is . . . well nothing right now. The guy who filled in as back up qb during the spring has now graduated, I believe, leaving only the two incoming freshman. While I'm hoping (and planning) that CJ has a great season, the odds are pretty good that at some point during the season CJ won't be able to play and a back up will need to step in. In fact, given CJ's running style of play and our thin offensive line, it would be surprising if we didn't need a back up qb to play this year.
Which brings me to my question. Who will be behind CJB? There are two new guys coming in this fall -- Caleb Rowe and Perry Hills. My vote is that Hills is the #2 and Rowe is #3. This isn't based on anything more than that Hills just played in an all-star game in PA and lit up the field.
