The other day, I read a Bleacher Report article (I know, I know) about the Terps' top NBA draft prospects. They are:
1. Alex Len
2. Terrell Stoglin (written before he left)
3. Shaquille Cleare
4. Nick Faust
5. Evan Smotrycz
While there's nothing particularly egregious about this list, it got me thinking about the Terps' top NFL draft prospects. Looking at the current roster, excluding the incoming freshmen, there's about a handful of players that might be worth a draft pick once their Terps careers are over. This is a very (very) rough top 10 list for me, let me know what you guys think: (Of course assuming no one gets hurt [knock on wood])
1. Joe Vellano
2. Kenny Tate
4. A.J. Francis
6. Matt Furstenburg (Can we call him "FurstenGoal"? Pleaaaase?)
7. Andre Monroe
9. Alex Twine
10. Bennett Fulper (mostly to get another offensive player on the list)
NOTE: I am by no means saying I think all of these will get drafted. I'm simply speculating as to who would have to best chance of getting drafted or at least signing a contract as a UDFA.
Have at it.
