The good (1): Men LAX beats Hopkins for the second time this year to earn a second consecutive trip to the championship weekend under Coach Tillman. Is the team gelling or doe we see the inconsistency we've seen all year and a letdown in Foxboro?
The good (2): Women's LAX moves to championship weekend for the fourth consecutive year with the win over Loyola. This is a young team that's gotten better as the season progressed. Have they come far enough to take out a Northwestern team making its eighth straight FF appearance, that beat MD in the championship game last year and that has the reigning Tewaaraton trophy winner in Shannon Smith who torched MD for 4 goals in a slowdown 7-8 game?
The questionable (1): Baseball managed 1 out of 3 against UVA over the weekend. Their 32 wins are second most in school history and an 11 game improvement on last season. Last week ESPN bracketology had the Terps as the first team out. Was one win enough to squeak into the NCAAs or did they need at least 2?
The questionable (2): Softball made its third consecutive NCAA Tournament under Coach Watten something no other team has accomplished. However, they were swept out of the regional losing to Texas A & M and Harvard. Kendra Knight who wraps up her eligibility this season pitched almost 75% of the Terps innings including starting 19 of the last 20 games. Both games the Terps lost in Washington were a result of late game rallies. Did Coach Watten overwork her starter and undermine the confidence of the only returning pitcher, freshman Kaitlyn Schmeiser? Will the Terps be able to make another run to the NCAAs next spring?
