Freshman guard Rodney Hood, the # 5 shooting guard in the country last year, is looking to transfer from the sinking ship that is Mississippi State basketball. Rodney would be a HUGE get for MD. He is long, 6'8", strong 200+ pounds, and athletic. We weren't in the mix for him out of HS so I have no idea if he would consider MD, but if he did he would be a major upgrade over all the other players we are looking at.

In addition, incoming point guard Josh Gray (also Mississippi State) has asked for a release from his LOI due to the change in coaches at the school. I have every reason to believe that Gray will be granted his release. (I've never heard of a school changing coaches and then refusing to grant a release -- though anything is possible.) Gray would be a highly, highly fought over commodity. He is a first rate, TRUE, point guard. Not on the level of Jordan or Harrison, but not too far behind either.

So, a couple of questions for the community.

1) Assuming that both these players become available, who of all the players MD is looking at would you like to see MD get? (My vote is Gray given our need at PG.)

2) Does anybody have any information as to whether MD has connections with either of these players?
