Like Many sports fans, I have been watching the NFL Draft. In some respects, it has been a very exciting draft -- what with all the trades. As a Terps fan, though, this has been an unbelievably quiet draft. Not a single mention of a MD player in the first round or even the second. The draft lists I've seen has had one terp who MAY be drafted -- Davin Meggett in the 6th round. That's it. Other services have No Terps on their draft boards.
This lack of terps on the board had me thinking about the raw talent of this senior class. I haven't done all the research but this is the weakest terp showing at an NFL draft in as long as I can remember. Taking this to the next level, it leads me to wonder about the talent on this past year's team. If playing in the NFL -- or even being drafted -- is the ultimate barometer of talent -- then RE's first team may have been historically weak. Hopefully, this data will quiet some of the RE bashers given how little he had to work with this year and fire up those who state that RF wasn't getting the horses to compete at the highest level.
