Terps Fball Recruiting, pipeline still needs work

Well let's start off a great Sunday with some recruiting news. Since basketball is Charlottes cup of tea, I'll handle the football side. I hope this post rebuilds what little creditability I have on here.

I guess we can start with some positive Kendall Fuller cut his list to 6 and the Terps made it. But don't think Maryland leads, the Hokies due to all of other Fuller family went to Tech. This catch would be the biggest land in Maryland football history.

Now to the pipeline bust. Dorian O'Daniel has committed to Clemson as he visited the Tigers this past weekend. Many thought that Clemson was the leader and now apparently there is no need for guessing. The biggest tease is that Dorian had such Positive things to say about the Terps in a Rivals interview on Thursday this week. Oh well maybe it's not completely a done deal, but I'd say he will be a Tiger.

Other Terps targets are emerging. The state of Maryland seems to be producing some good talent and not just from the traditional powers Gilman, GC and Friendship. Here are some names to watch for HD Woodson Safety Darwyn Kelly likes the hometown team and this is a great chance for Locks to step in. Calvert Hall Delando Johnson is a versatile athlete that Maryland got a visit this weekend, but he hosts several lower offers with the likes of Notre Dame, OSU and Penn State ready to offer. It seems like the Nittany Lions are about to offer and Johnson is the type of player Maryland needs to secure early before the Big Ten swoops in like in years past. Also Douglass WR Paul Harris has the Terps at the top of his list. Paul is a 3 star and drawing major interest as of late from the big boys. I would group Harris and Johnson in the "need to lock up sooner then later" bunch of recruits Maryland has failed to land in recent years.

The last bit of info I'll leave with you is some nice out of state news. Top 200 RB prospect from Philly David Williams who runs a sub 4.4 40 talks with Rivals and mentions he can see himself suiting up for the Terps because he loves the city atmosphere. David has visited Maryland a half dozen times already it sounds like the Rysheed Jordan of football it must be something Philly recruits do. If the Terps land Williams there will most certainly not be a lack of RB depth. Who needs a QB when you can run four deep?
