Incoming Terp freshmen Malina Howard and Tierney Pfirman both had solid if unspectacular performances in the WCBA High School All-American game in Denver last night. They played together for the Navy team which lost to the White team 74-62. Howard complemented 4 points and 3 rebounds with 3 blocks and 2 steals in 25 minutes of play. Pfirman, coming off the bench had 9 points and six boards in only 14 minutes. The White team was loaded with 3 of the top 4 ranked seniors on the roater (Howard is #5 & Pfirman is 22).

On a side note, congratulations to Riverdale Baptist for winning the National High School Invitational Championship over Dr. Phillips from Orlando 63-59 and doing so without their top player Jonquel Jones who was scoring 14 points fir the White team in the game mentioned above. (Jones is a Clemson commit.)
