I know the word on this message board has been that MD is not going to get invited to the NIT. Hell, generally speaking, I would prefer to look down my nose at the NIT. Not only is it a lesser tournament but if the Terps are in I'll have to hear from my father about how the NIT used to be the "real" post-season tournament back in the day. Frankly, that's not a conversation I'm that excited about having . . . again. But, even with those negatives, I think, that this coach and this team could benefit from additional games and the tournament experience. So, I did a little looking and found a website called NIT-ology that tracks likely invites to the NIT. As of today, they have the Terps in as an 8 seed. Here's the link.
