Maryland's played one game in the last week. For a team that seemed to be on it's last legs, you'd have to assume that's pretty big. I have a feeling Terrell Stoglin, pictured above looking like an absolute assassin, comes out looking like old Terrell Stoglin. Of course, if he (and the rest of the team) doesn't, it could be a long day.
Game tips at noon, will be on ESPNU.
Random, Baseless Prediction: Stoglin's point total: 27 on 18 shots. We all start worrying about the NBA again, or something.
Prediction: I don't think I can see Maryland running away with this game - they seemed too tired, both physically and mentally. It's been a long slog of a season for this bunch, and while a blowout would be a cathartic experience, it's not likely. But I can see them winning by single digits if they're well-rested and focused, or lose by a fair amount if they play like the first twenty minutes of the Virginia game. I'll be the optimist and say they win it, 74-68. Oh, and of note: two worst defenses in the ACC are meeting today. Take the over.
Guessing Game: Today's focus is on James Padgett. Give me points plus offensive rebounds, with travels as a tiebreaker.
