Stumbled across this article thanks to the wonderful invention that is twitter. After rumors spread that Larry Brown was interested in becoming the head coach at SMU, ESPN's Dana O'Neil contacted Coach Brown to find out if there was any truth to the rumor.

Here's the big quote from the article:
"I'm not going to be politicking for a job right now," the 71-year-old Brown said. "I'd like to get back involved in the game in some capacity. Whether that's as a coach, assistant, running a team or just as a resource, I don't care."
My thoughts? I'd love to have Coach Brown in any sort of assistant/adviser role, and it sounds like he would be open to that as well. We know Coach Brown and Coach Turgeon have a good relationship, and that Coach Brown has attended some Maryland practices in the last year. I think it would be a great addition for Maryland basketball, especially if Coach Spinelli gets the head coaching job we know he deserves. What are everyone's thoughts? Would you like Coach Brown on our bench next year, or would his presence bring a distraction and upset chemistry?
