Congratulations to Coach Frese and the rest of the Terps for their thrilling win over Louisville last night in front of a boisterous if somewhat disappointing crowd of 4,857. I wrote in a different post that the Terps needed to do three things to win last night: handle Louisville's press (which they did after the first 3 or 4 possessions); finish at the basket when they broke the press (which they didn't do as well); and play defense for the full 30 seconds (which they did most of the time. The Terps got monster games from Lauren Mincy (24 points on 6-10 shooting and 10-13 from the line) and Tianna Hawkins (15 points/14 rebounds/6 steals and a block) and managed to win despite a tough night for their star Alyssa Thomas. Now it's on Raleigh and a match up with the defending champs Texas A & M.
