As a lot of you know, I posted a video a couple weeks of another highly talented player from the Eastern Shore. JahSheme Ringgold from Easton High. If any of you did not read that fanpost, here is his video.
As a lot of you also know, Damonte Dodd and his Queen Annes basketball program lost to WiHi from Salisbury on Tuesday night. Dodd went for 30 points and 31 rebounds, but it was not enough for his team to move forward. A win from Queen Annes would have set up another amazing game against Easton and Ringgold.
Instead, Ringgold and his Easton team faced WiHi last night. The winner would be one game away from being in the state semifinals. Jahsheme finished with 28 points (19 in the second half), 4 assists (would have had more if teammates made open shots), 2 steals, and probably more impressive is the 15 rebounds. Jah is a 6'1" PG, and pulled in 15 rebounds against a very quality team.
Easton now plays Patterson Mill on Saturday afternoon. A win would send Easton to the state tournament for 3 straight years at the 2A level, with Ringgold being the top scorer the past two seasons. Really hoping this kid gets some more offers after the season is over.
