You know what time it is.... Must Read MD Bball article

Here is a great Q&A with Kellon Hassenstab, the publisher of Hoopniks on the state of MD basketball. He goes through all of MD's incoming recruits, additional 2012 recruits, and 2013 prospects as well. A lof of good info actually. Highs & Lows... he tells it like it is and doesnt sugar coat it.

Good news : thinks that MD will be a tourney team next year, likes the Mitchell & Cleare combo (doesnt care that they are similar in style), sees layman as a 4 but can play wing (interesting), & thinks that Wilbut or Cassel would be the best fit for MD. One interesting point is that he said MD could add a PG who has graduated and looking to get his masters... I LOVE THIS IDEA. I forget what high major team added a stud mid major PG this year... I saw them play 2 weeks ago. Anyway, the player could play right away and only occupy a scholarship for one year. This would be ideal.

Lows: Twins to Kentucky.

My favorite quote:

“I think that given what coach Mark Turgeon inherited when he took over, fans have to be happy with what’s been done. This is a program that has faced adversity and is better off today than it was a year ago.
