Waaaaaaaaah. The consensus among journalist-y types is that Maryland will pass on the CBI. Big problem is, as I mentioned before, pay-to-play: no guarantee you can play on the road every game, which means you have to be willing to host, and that means being willing to shell out $35,000/$50,000/$75,000 with minimal opportunity to make it back. I'd be cool with taking it, but I'd also be cool with passing and just getting this thing behind us. UPDATE: And the WaPo just tweeted that Maryland will decline a CBI bid. Guess the money wasn't worth the benefit. See you next year, folks.
