Did we win or lose last night?

Did anyone really think this team was gonna win, let alone win with style this year? I have just seen a great deal of complaining about the nature of the victory last night. Clemson has given a lot of good teams a run for their money this year, as evidenced by the stats they kept throwing up during the game last night. I will take any win, especially a road win, in conference this year and cherish it. And it is a credit to MT and the team that our expectations have risen so much for this group. I remember a few weeks ago when they weren't a 35 minute team, but a 20 minute team.

Kudos to MT for his first ACC road win, this is something I expect to see much more of in the future. This team is laying it all on the line and making this an infinitely more entertaining season to endure than I expected. So far it has been a great pleasure to watch several individuals grow into a team that is now playing with quite an attitude, even if that serves them poorly from time to time.

Anyway, just throwing out some love. Another road win this weekend would be nice too!

A win is a win

We’ve seen the extremely good Maryland and the extremely bad Maryland.

That’s the characteristics of a young team. It will get more talented, and consistent with time

I am a win is a win guy too. As much as I would like to see us just win by 20 each night I am realistic that it won’t happen this year. I will definitely take this road win. If last nights game was a couple weeks ago I would assume we would have ended up losing in the last seconds instead of holding on so I’m just happy they pulled it out. As much as I love our Terps I really thought Clemson was going to win it at the end. Glad I was proved wrong.

I also am enjoying watching most of our players improving

I’d have to rate Stogs as the most improved over last year, but watching some others come into their own has been a pleasure.

This team is a team that has tons of potential but has not yet developed all of that potential. It’s mind-numbingly frustrating at times to watch, but the team overall is quite young (six of the nine are either freshman or sophomores). There’s definitely some talent on this team, and it’s not all going to come together this year. Look at Len … he’s still adjusting to ACC play and needs to add some muscle (which simply can’t happen much over the next month).

All of that said … I think any road win in the ACC is a good win. Even in a down year, the ACC is a tough league. Look what happened to Florida State when they went to BC.

If they can steal a win at Duke, that would be huge.

Assumption is the mother of all @#%-ups.
