Great game tonight & - Do we have another outside weapon?
I feel great about the Terps' hard fought victory at Clemson tonight. So I decided to look around and check in on Seth's schedule, since I intend to stop in on his team's game at Seton on Friday night.
And lo and behold, I have the pleasure of reading Seth's sweet box score from tonight's game:
31 pts, 12/21 fg, 5/11 3PT, 2/3 FT, 5 Assists, 2 Rebs, 4 steals
I think we have one more shooter to pencil in for next season!

but he’s been hurt, so wait until end of season

A natural shooter
Should be never be averaging south of 75% from the charity stripe at any level. His injury might have something to do it sure, but junior year numbers would build your case here.
You will...
Turge and crew are working on it. We just need to be patient. This isn’t a one year rebuilding project. It will be two more years (from now) before we are up and running properly.
Children should be seen and not heard.

Point Guard
Seth, like Faust, will probably be forced to play some backup PG next year, but that will only help him learn the system as it did for Faust. When Turge lands his natural PG (2013 class), Seth will slide back over to the 2 spot, his more natural position.
He has been said to be able to score at will, and I sure as hell hope that is true, but I’ll go ahead and agree with the posters above, he’ll need a year to adjust to D1 speed.
I expect Seth
will struggle like Faust has this year. I think he will need most of the first year to adjust to the speed of the D1 game. I look for Layman to help out more with his shot simply because of his height and the mis-match he will cause on the outside.
Keep recruiting, while keeping an eye on adding at least another shooter.
his outside shooting will be better than faust's
but he will have to adjust just the same. i pick him as a sleeper but haven’t seen him play in a LONG time. i’m most concerned about his injury history. i know he’s still growing, but i’m hoping this isn’t a regular thing. he was down with the ankle for a long time. recently he’s been down for the broken bone in his hand otherwise i would’ve gone out to see him play and made my first Fanpost.
hoping this isn’t a trend.
I honestly dont see Seth starting at
MD but instead coming off the bench at either guard spot. I see him kind of in the mold of Drew Nicholas when he was a Terp. Maybe he starts his senior year but he’ll be on the bench which isn’t a bad thing since all good teams have depth.
