NFL Combine loves Maryland Terrapins, and other news

Apparently when the lights and attention turn to the NFL Combine, the college team that seems to get the most notice is the University of Maryland. Yahoo did an article on the best Combine performances of all time and listed the top 6 EVER and Maryland had three of them.

Here is the link: http://www.thepostgame.com/blog/list/201202/nfl-combine-greatest-performances-offensive-players

The article lists the performances of DHB, Bruce Campbell and Vernon Davis. I thought Shawn Merrimen could have easily been added in that conversation as well, which would make it 4 of the top 7 performances at the combine. This is good to see Maryland players being highlighted, but this isn't that flattering of a mention since DHB has been in all areas a bust, Bruce Campbell hasn't done much and Vernon Davis at times has been one of the best in the game at his position, but not consistent. I think we can all agree that the combine doesn't give teams a can't miss accessment, but more of a damn that guy is athletic.

On another note, nice win by the Men's bball team over Miami. Let's beat GT and hope for a sweep next week, but I would take one over UVA at home. I hope the SLAM article quiets the STOGS VS. TURGE war that has been raging. Enough is enough, Turge calls out his players and like it or not, he's telling the truth, Stogs needs to grow up and play team basketball.

The whole Edsall and DOB situation is just weird. I think Edsall cant win for losing. RE did what every other coach in America would do and block DOB from Vandy. Of course in typical media style, make him out to be a monster and how he's not allowing DOB to grow as a player. Vandy contacted DOB before he was released and I would venture to say the Franklin has been in his ear for a while since the season ended on come to Nashville. My take, DOB was overrated and was exposed this year. Yes, the offense scheme sucked but so did DOB. CJB is the man now.

BBall recruiting is always a great topic for debate. With Maryland adding another recruit none of which any one on this site predicted there has been questions flying around. First off we have 8 scholarship players this year. Dodd is better then any other bench player now, so stop thinking its such a crucial commit. There will be openings for every good/great player that wants to come to MD. Dodd is interesting with his number even though there vs. inferior competition. This definitely is a win-win for both parties. Harrison twins looked to be all but locked up...or at least according to Charlotte. I think we will land them, unless they sell their soul to Crapapari.

Good day to all and FEAR THE TURGE!!!
