I sent the below letter on 2/16/12 but as of now I have not received any response. Did anyone notice? You would think that someone would respond to a season ticket holder, to someone who donates to the athletic program and a lifelong fan. What are your thoughts? Maybe I am too much of fan?
Dear Coach Edsall, Dr. Loh, Mr. Anderson, Mr. Wainwright and Coach Locksley,
I have been a season ticket holder for football for more than 20 years. I purchase 6 tickets every year even though my children have grown and are at college. My oldest son is a senior this year at UMD. I have been through numerous coaches. I am a graduate of this university and I have been a fan my entire life. I have seen many coaches from the head coach to graduate assistants through the years at many events and in the community. I want to comment about something I have noticed about Coach Edsall.
I just completed watching the video of his interview with Chick Hernandez on Comcast Sports Net. I find it rather disheartening that he did not have on one piece of Terp wear. I am always a supporter and attempt to proudly wear "our" colors as often as possible. How could he go to a scheduled interview as the LEADER of our program and not be PROUDLY sporting our colors? I feel that as the leader he needs to set an example for others to follow. If he does not proudly promote our colors how can he expect his staff, his players and his supports to do the same? Could he not put a pin of Testudo or nice collared shirt with our emblem on for this interview? I am sure I am not the only supporter, recruit or player who noticed this lack of display.
