Crazy stat
According to statistics at theACC.com, we lead the league in overall free throw attempts, even ahead of Duke and UNC and they've played one more game than us. We average over 27 FTA per game! At our current rate of 65%, that equals out to almost 18 points per game. While I'm happy that we get to the line so frequently, it shows how big of an impact raising our percentage could have on the final score. Raising it by a few percentage points could equal another 2 or 3 points every game. I just thought this was very interesting.
By the way, we aren't last in the league percentage wise either. Both UNC and Georgia Tech shoot worse than us, incredibly.

another crazy stat
Not that this matters for much of anything, I don’t bet on games, but we seem to get no respect from the odds makers. And showing this while the Terps are 3-4 in the ACC, against the line they are 5-1-1 (Duke- PUSH, and the FSU game). Just an odd note.
Turgeon's teams have consistently been at the top
I believe A&M had the 4th most FT attempts in the nation last year.
