Sad and Frustrated About Maryland Basketball

Watching today's game against Virginia, I am continuously reminded at how far Maryland basketball has fallen. Gary was a legend here, but he really left the cupboard bare when he left. Perhaps we can attribute that to bad luck with stars like Jordan Williams prematurely bouncing for the NBA, leaving us short handed, but we are no longer the same force we used to be.

Our team is so fundamentally flawed it's just laughable. We have zero inside presence. I like Padgett and Pankey as people, but they are terrible in terms of consistent offensive production. Berend Weijs as our center is just inadequate. He's not fast enough to guard people and he's just too weak to grab rebounds or bounce passes. That first bounce pass to him that ricocheted off his hands was just the beginning of what would prove to be a really bad day. Alex Len - he's too weak and inexperienced to be effective. I've always been a huge Mosely fan, as I love his passion and heart, but he's just lacking talent as a Division 1 player.

Okay...just wanted to vent a little. I think Parker, Stoglin, and Faust have shown a ton of potential....I really hope next year, they will finally break out. We need a solid PG and a power forward in the worst way...
