Finally got to watch the replay after ESPN3 locked up on me last night and I just wanted to offer a some observations:
- Turgeon mentioned being more like a family in his quotes and I definitely saw a more "us against the world" mentality from the team last night.
- What was that? I counted at least three passes out of the post last night, including sequence where Pankey and Mosley traded the ball twice. Padgett even passed it out of a double team.
- They took the toughness talk to heart, the two technical fouls seemed to me to be cases of "you're not gonna push me around" attitudes.
- We have found a leader - Nick Faust - he is stepping up and taking on a role outside of his comfort zone - he can be seen talking to Len after mistakes - on a blocking foul on Padge clearly stuck up for him and pleaded to the ref - this is freshman and he carries himself with great composure - there are a lot of things here you can't teach and this is just the tip of the iceberg
