Forget Randy Edsall. Forget Danny O'Brien. Forget Sally Jenkins. Forget tweets about playing time. I've never needed Maryland to just run a team out of the gym as much as I need them to do it tonight.
Tip is late, at 9:00, on ACC Network and/or ESPN3.
Random, Baseless Prediction: The Red Berend will fly (again) tonight, in a big way. At least one block and one dunk, very possibly two of both. Oh, and the Mychal Parker Bandwagon goes back in the garage. Not anything against Mych, but he seems to have trouble stringing two really good performances together.
Prediction: Maryland's the better team. I'm not sure if Vegas is right about the line being about 10ish, but I don't think they're far off. This will be a slow game, but Maryland will get a couple of easy transition buckets and try to open things up in the second half. I say Terps, 71-63.
Guessing Game: Does Nick Faust keep up the good performances? Give me points plus steals, with rebounds as the tie-breaker. My guess: 9 (8+1) with 2 boards.

He’s averaging 17 a game (2nd in the ACC) shooting > 40% from three. I’d say he’s doing well. Add Zeller, Henson, Marshall, and you have a very talented team. Don’t get me wrong, I hate them just as much as the next guy, but they’re good.

not that we’re better, but faust, parker, etc. are forced into roles that really make them better and grow, and even though we had this at the beginning of the year, they are more mature now and know how to be aggresive. and this all makes it easier for stoglin..

I really think Turge told the team to make a concerted effort to not rely on Stogs
in this 2nd half. He’s trying to let the rest of the team grow tonight.
Stoglin's feel is absurd
No one else on the floor could have pulled off that sequence. Not convinced anyone in the ACC could’ve done it.

Well, yes and no
This is sort of what I was alluding to before. With Pe’, we tried to play a certain way, thinking that Pe’ is a true point who should be able to do certain things. That entailed doing some things we weren’t actually capable of doing.
If we asked Pe’ to do what Nick is doing – get the ball down the floor, call whatever play Turgeon told him, and hand it off – he’d be fine.
Not entirely convinced that he is
He can’t keep the ball close to his body. It’s really tough to watch.
We really don't know how to close out W's.
Guess that’s something that comes with more winning, but its frustrating.
