Rumor has it...Pe'Shon injured - out for season?
A source has stated that Pe'Shon could be out for the season. That is all I have for now - hope this is not the case. Can anyone confirm this?

If this is true
time for us to find our Jeremy Lin
I hope he's alright.
A truly shitty year for the kid. No chance to dance without him, imo.
I agree, but you never know if Stogs might go Gilchrist in the ACCT.

Yeah.. I come to the conclussion
that Stogs can never shock me anymore.. I;ve decided that he can school 80 points by himself if he wanted..

Yep
I bet he beats Walt Williams’ 40 pt/game records before he’s done.

sooooo...
Stoglin PG
Faust SG
Parker SF
Padgett PF
Len C
one of the walk on guards will have to step up…
no no no no no
terrible news. hopefully stogs runs the point and goes beast mode tomorrow, but this season will end with us questioning how w wouldve turned out if we had our full line up all year
na
he had a tweet with just a bunch of hands praying. Now it makes sense

he wants
to stay positive despite everything thats gone wrong with him this year
there's a chance
he did start the season missing 9 games, and could miss the last 6 or 7. but playing in 14 is a pretty big chunk. perhaps if he gets injured in the future and misses 10+ games he could petition for a RS like Jerome Burney did.
No
If you play in any games past the mid point of the season you are not eligible for a medical hardship.
Here's a crazy idea
Can Mosely play point? Seems to me he is our best ball handler besides Stoglin and Pe.
Might be our best option.
Sugar protects the ball and I trust him to make good decisions. Plus, it might force him to shoot more.
Fear the Turgle!
Also
Jonathan Thomas will definitely be seeing some court time now…kind of scary thought going into Dook tomorrow.
I was all for JT getting some more PT anyway.
He looked serviceable in the OOC games.

Something is off
Turgeon talked to the media an hour ago, said this about Pe’shon:
— Regarding Terrapins guard Pe’Shon Howard, Turgeon said he has "defended his tail off" since coming back from the foot injury that sidelined him at the start of the season.
Obviously not a mention of his injury. Everyone waiting to get clarification on how bad it is? Gag order for the team until they find out exactly what the extent of it is?
maybe throw off dook?
any chance we run with 4 forwards? imagine having stogs mosley pankey padge and len on the court together. stogs running off 4 screens and hitting a 3 everytime
Problem is
What do we do if they go Dawkins, Curry, Rivers all on the floor:
But this could maybe work:
1-Stoglin
2-Faust
3-Mosely
4-Padge
5-Len
Pankey, Parker, Berend rotating in.
I want to see Faust all over Rivers tomorrow.
Forget about scoring, just shut the little prick down.

haha, he brought the ball up once v clemson
And quickly turned it over.
by Sephtical on Feb 10, 2012 3:42 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
I doubt this is true, but with the way this year has gone, it’s probably the ACL and he won’t be back until this time next year. I hope Stogs can learn the point this summer.
Something doesn't add up here
If he was injured, I’m 90% sure it would have been discussed at Turgeon’s presser that he just had. I just wouldn’t put too much stock into this. I’m not say it’s 100% false, but I’m finding it unlikely at this point, unless we hear something else to provide more support for this.
unless Turge just didn't know the extent of the injury
in which case he probably wouldn’t want to bring it up
and lets go to Bentleys...

Hope you're right, Dave.
I would look like an ass, but better than being PGless
by GCTerp on Feb 10, 2012 3:38 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
I don't mess around like that.
I think our only hope is if Terrell goes off for 40 tomorrow
by GCTerp on Feb 10, 2012 3:43 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
Aaaaaaaaaaaand
Your creditability = sky high. Thanks for the heads up early. Didn’t mean to doubt you before. I wasn’t trying to say it wasn’t true, just hadn’t seen it anywhere else.
No worries
I presented it as a rumor.
by GCTerp on Feb 10, 2012 10:01 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
Ouch
I hope it’s not true and hope the best for him. I wonder how long it will take for all the people bagging on his game in the last week or two to say they miss him. Reminds of Bears fans missing Cutler after he got hurt less than a year after throwing him under the bus. Please do not let Parker play point. Just throw him lobs…
co-worker just saw him Weds in Stamp and he was fine
would have had to hurt himself yesterday or today – jeez

How bout Faust?
He’s got the most experience this year and honestly I think it will be a big confidence boost for down the road
put it in stoglins hands
He ends up with the ball at the top of the key on 75% of possessions anyway
by Sephtical on Feb 10, 2012 3:43 PM EST via mobile reply actions
Looks more legit check out twitter search results
https://twitter.com/#!/search/realtime/p21howard
Some tweets since my links suck
@ShadTOOreal — @P21howard you good bro. Keep ya head up keep
@iAmRaLo - @P21howard that’s all it is
@Bailey_got_back - @P21howard yoo you got dis sonn
All right after his tweet about mindset.
But these were all 4 hours ago
And it would make NO sense to have NO mention of this from Turge. This was an obvious appt w/ MRI, regardless of how minor — an MRI Appointment would likely mean no game 2morrow.
I'm hoping this is a hoax to throw Puke off
And continuing further progress on electronic sabotage. Otherwise, I vote for Mosley to replace P so Stogs doesn’t get too tired.

Funny
How we were all over him for playing shitty the other day. True or not, this shows how F’d we are without him.
Dont the teams have to exchange injury reports?
or active rosters? I would think the team has some obligation to disclose serious injury information.
Dagger
Terrapins Insider @TerpsInsider Mark Turgeon says #Terps guard Pe’Shon Howard has a torn ACL, will require six months of recovery. More to come.
I hope Pe can redshirt
Having him for another three years instead of two while the team is on the rise could wind up being a good thing.
I was wondering this same thing so I did some research (I also found the similar explanation on other sites)
http://www.livestrong.com/article/156539-medical-redshirt-rules-for-basketball/
Any injury being considered in an application for a medical redshirt must occur in the first half of a team’s season. Additionally, the player may not have competed in more than two contests for the school, or in more than 20 percent of the season, whichever is greater. If a player competes in the second half of the season, she is ineligible for a medical redshirt.
…so since he played in the 2nd half of the season I think he is not eligible for a redshirt…which really sucks…..since he busted his butt to come back from the foot injury earlier

Try many months, not weeks
ACL = knee = long recovery time. He won’t play again this season, I guarantee.
i currently have a torn acl
it all really depends on the extent of the injury. If it is a partial tear, it is entirely possible that he could rest it and it could heal to the point where he is able to play again this season. My guess that even if he could sit out and rehab they will play it safe and rest him for the rest of the season. If it is any worse, than he will have to have surgery and it will be a very long road for recovery

Jeff Ermann just tweeted this
point guard Pe’Shon Howard has a torn ACL, will miss remainder of the season
CRAP!!!
Oh well….still gotta play the games. We’ll figure it out.
GO TERPS
Get well soon Pe’Shon!
well at least it was a better season than football
small victories, right?
SH***************************************TTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This blows!!!!!! They were really starting to play well, and all was going according to my 8-8 plan. Lucky to win anymore games now, honestly. BC just upset FSU, and we play @GT. This sucks. Unless Jonathan Thomas has serious game, which would be more surprising than Jeremy Lin. What a blow to Turgeon’s first season.
Realistically the season hasn't changed THAT much
It’s time to bring out that cliche..Someone has to STEP UP and show everyone what they can do with more minutes. Let’s face it, Pe was not having a great season. He was getting better but with all the complaining that was going on about his performance, we can’t now all of a sudden say … if he’s out, we’re done.
The other guys will have to carry the team a little more (not much more than they have been doing already really). Guys like Faust and Parker will have to play smarter and contribute better all around. Mosley too will have to increase that IQ and make smart decisions. If Thomas does play, he’ll get limited minutes but could be a surprise. We don’t know really because he hasn’t been in much against ACC teams.
So let’s see what happens and KEEP the faith. We were NOT expecting a great season as it is…so this doesn’t really change a whole lot. I just feel bad for any of our athletes who get injured and can’t help their team win. He’ll be rooting and cheering and coaching on the sidelines. He’s a team player. He’ll get through this and so will we.
GO TERPS!!!
The best to 'Pe for a complete recovery so he can be a star next year
I could feel ’Pe shooting 6 threes against Puke, but that will have to wait for next year.
