Dion Wiley - 2014 SG

With Roddy Peters and Romelo Trimble in the fold, it appears the Terps are really trying to target a legitimate 2 guard. While Turgeon has certainly recruited and signed these hybrid/versatile guards, I think Dion Wiley is the PERFECT fit for this team. Seth Allen also falls into this versatile category and we could really use a shooting guard that as silly as it sound can SHOOT it well. Wiley has been absolutely exploding recently and Dave Telep has mentioned in several Insider articles how talented Wiley is. There has been rumors about his eligibility but Telep recently reported his Top 3 consists of UMD, Georgetown, and Virginia. He supposedly has offers from Miami, Rutgers, Villanova, NC State, and Virginia Tech with many other schools in pursuit. While I have high expectations for this year's team and the program whether or not we sign Wiley, I do believe, especially come tournament time, shooters are vital to a team's success. While Aronhalt can really shoot it, he lacks the athleticism to do much else. Would love to hear more thoughts on Wiley and our chances of signing him...
