Because it's Kentucky; and because they're the defending national champions; and because they're the #3-ranked team in the country; and because it's the first game of the season; and because we now know that Dez has been freed, this seemed like the perfect time for a poll.
The poll is simple enough: guess the result of the game. But the discussion question should provoke a little more throught. What impact will this game have on the future of the program? It could be in terms of recruiting, how the UK game might serve as a harbinger of things to come for the season, how it might help determine just how good we'll be in ACC play, just how good Dez will prove to be, or who will shine on the court. Anything, really.
But first, the poll:
How will the Terps fare in Friday's season opener?
Terps get blown out by more than 12 points. (19 votes)
Terps keep it close until the end, and lose by less than 12 points. (87 votes)
Terps win in a nail-biter by less than 10 points. (124 votes)
Terps win in a relative cakewalk, by double-digits. (15 votes)
