On the surface this is a non-game with zero importance to this season. However, this is the start of attention for a team heading to a major football conference in 2014. As we move towards next season this is RE’s time to shine or flop. The three year benchmark is approaching and while there are no contractual implications, a failed season next year would spell doom for this squad and his coaching career especially given the football conference move. I am cautiously optimistic but a 4 (potentially 5) win season ain’t going to cut it. Here’s to a made field goal here with a healthy QB there and we are looking at a much different season. Here is also to knee braces as standard issued equipment next season with a side of a healthy QB for the full season. I will miss watching this team and will always think of what could have been. I’ll also miss watching Joey V. take the field and have a feeling he will see the field regardless of what the injury report states.
