Hey guys, this is my first post here so bear with me. I was reading the articles about Turgeon asking for more attandance at basketball games, and this morning I read a Washington Post article about Edsall asking for more attendance at the final home game of the year, Senior Day, and a chance to show many recruits that Maryland is a legit football team of the future. Isn't attandance what Maryland used to be known for? I know for basketball, we used to be one of the hardest places to play at, right there with Duke. Now, unless there is a home game against Duke or UNC, its almost impossible to sell out Comcast. And don't get me started on attendance at football games. We haven't had a good showing since the Miami game last season. The students should be the leaders for attendance. This is their school and their pride. If I was a 3, 4, or 5 start recruit attending a Maryland football game and saw the attendance and total lack of cheering, I wouldn't think twice about going to MD. And yeah, some of the blame falls on the school and Kevin Anderson, blah blah blah. But I think it is ultimately the job of the students and alumni to fill the stands and get Byrd/Comcast rockin like we all know they can! By the way, here is the link to the WaPo article about Edsall's plea: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/terrapins-insider/wp/2012/11/13/randy-edsall-makes-impassioned-plea-for-increased-attendance/
