What if...

UMD always ha bad luck, but I got to day dreaming on the weekend about how good we might have been in basketball this season if instead we had a little better luck. Specifically, what if Jordan Williams had really loved school and decided to stay through his senior year rather than make a quick stop in the NBA and wind up in the development league this year. What if Stoglin had enough sense not to smoke grass before games and was not kicked off the team? What if the NCAA cut us some slack and let Dez Wells play this year? That's a lot of "what ifs" but none of them so very far-fetched. I mean, when JW first stepped on campus, he seemed like a 4 year player. Sogs had already decided to come back before being booted.

Anyway, you get the point, what a team we would have now:

5 - Williams, Shaq, Len

4 - Len, Padget, Mitchel

3- Wells, Faust, Layman

2- Stogs, Faust, Aronhaldt, Allen

3 -Howard, Stogs, Allen, Faust

That would be a top 10 line-up this year without a doubt. Instead, take out Williams, Wells and Stogs, and hmmmm...we'll see.
