and all through the field house nothing was stirring, not even Edsall handing out unjust punishments. Just kidding, I thought that would get everyone relaxed. Well here we are with National Signing Day approaching in the AM and there are several things that could happen to help Maryland become a top 30 class. Granted most of those are extreme longshots, but somethings have already happened.
First off, I have not heard any negative reports of us losing any recruits that are currently verballed. Not to say that it wont happen, but I feel that we are in great standing with them all. There is the big story lines with Diggs and supposedly Goldman reconsidering Maryland. The Diggs decision is suppose to wait until the 10th so the drama will be strung out for another week. Then there are the second tier recruits, Kirven and Reader. I feel like Maryland can land both or neither in the same breathe. In my opinion if we land all four, we will crack the top 20.
Maryland has landed a couple preferred walk-on's. The first is Ty Tucker a 2-star recruit from Walkersville HS, MD, Michael Dunn an unrated OG/OT from Walt Whitman HS, MD, Brian McMahon a unrated QB from Atholton HS, MD and Ean Katz an unrated LB from Atholton HS, MD. I believe these are all the names for preferred walk-ons I could find.
All hopes and prayers are needed for the Terps to close out the 2012 class in style. I hope to grab two of the four listed above, which I am sure we can count Goldman out, so I'm hoping 2 out of 3. Fear the Terps.
