Maryland is wide receiver U
First it was Vernon Davis leading the 49ers to victory. I know many will argue that he isa tight end but with his speed he is as fast as almost any wide receiver. Next it was Torrey Smith to give the Ravens the lead. Finally it was Laquan Williams to strip the football and enable the Ravens to recover the kickoff. That's what it is all about; great receivers coming out of Maryland. Sign up Stefon Diggs. Go Ravens! Go Terps!

That’s what Maryland does!
Don't forget Darrius Heyward-Bey
But hes been sort of a bust
ehhh
he had some breakout games this year and then the raiders mysteriously benched him, it didn’t make sense
Sorry but this time I hope nothing
Gotta stick with my G-Men today!
Wow I think I literally just jinxed that.
10 seconds later, he scores a TD..ok, no more Vernon lol.

but he got a different 2nd 15 yd penalty earlier so it's all good
still averaging 1 15yd penalty/td
Torrey Smith wouldn't have dropped that last TD pass
Damnit Lee Evans…..

I think he would of did better this year
if they would of let him play. He had a few breakout games, and then out of no where was benched and no reason was given. It was widely speculated that Cable wasn’t a DHB fan so when Al Davis kicked it, he had no problems with benching him.
Cable didn't coach the Raiders this season
DHB had a fine year, almost eclipsing 1,000 for the season. He was a minimal factor in two games this year, which you seem to consider benching. Other than that, it was a great season.
It was a benching
He played literally like 8-10 snaps in those games, if that, after going off in 2-3 games in a row. Does that make sense to you?
He played after that only out of necessity because the Raiders WRs kept getting injured.
Maybe it was a contract issue.
Some teams have ways to make sure performance incentives aren’t met, if you know what I mean.

I'm a Raiders fan
He got benched in the first game. It’s hard to know the exact reasoning, but I think it had something to do with getting Carson Palmer comfortable. A lot easier to get chemistry with 2 receivers than it is to try to get everyone on the same page. Again, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, but that’s what the Raiders do. DHB came back and put up a ton of yardage after that semi-benching.
He played after that because he earned it. He was the only receiver on the team to play consistent football. Denarius Moore showed flashes and so did Jacoby Ford, but DHB consistently caught passes every game.
He’s going to be a pretty good player going forward and this season was nothing to look down at.
Those guys were all under Fridge. Wide Receivers at Maryland largely stunk before him, save for 1 or 2 exceptions. We’ll see what Edsall can do.
Wychek? JJ?
Even under Vandy and Duffner we had good WRs. Certainly, SOMEONE was catching all of those balls under Duffner.
Funny .................my bad
Certainly, SOMEONE was catching all of those balls under Duffner. classic !
