2012 Football Team Recruiting Rankings
First off, other than my bracketology I've never posted a FanPost here, so let me know what I did wrong and how to improve in the future.
247 sports released their team recruiting rankings for 2012 football. Maryland looks like there in pretty good shape. 37th nationally and 6th in the ACC.
The ACC rankings are this:
1. Florida State
2. Miami
3. Clemson
4. Virginia
5. Virginia Tech
6. MARYLAND
7. Pittsburgh
8. NC State
9. North Carolina
10. Georgia Tech
11. Wake Forest
12. Duke
13. Syracuse
14. Boston College
This includes Syracuse and Pitt, who knows if theyll be in the confrence but gives more of a retrospective. I believe that if we get one or two more 4 star recruits we could move up to 4th or 5th, which would be pretty good for Edsalls first year (I'm Edsalls biggest critic).
Just for an idea of where we are nationally the 5 around us (35-40) are:
35. Missouri
36. Iowa
37. MARYLAND
38. Pittsburgh
39. Lousiville
40. Arizona State
GO TERPS!!!

Are you sure you are a MD fan?
You sure do seem to hate just about everything to do with MD sports nowadays. You hate KA, Edsall, Hill (contract and recruiting) and I’m pretty sure you were one of the complainers about Locksleys contract as well. You’ve been pretty negative for weeks and it is getting a little frustrating. MD Football did terrible last year, but you need to focus on the positive news of it and stop bringing up the negative all the time.
Just my two cents on how all your posts seem to have looked lately.
Not bad
Better than I thought. I knew we had a decent class; however, I don’t follow college football recruiting enough to make any type of comparative analysis.
Net net...
We also lost some talent this year (not due to graduation), so our ranking does not account for this.
And we may not be done yet
losing talent, that is. I hear rumors about other unhappy players so it won’t surprise me to see more transfers. On the other had, I’d rather have happy freshmen who know what they’re getting coming into an Edsall regime than unhappy sophs and juniors who can bring down a locker room.
Why would...
our ranking for this class reflect attrition in the program? Just wondering.

Not bad.
“First off, other then my bracketology I’ve never posted a FanPost here, so let me know what I did wrong and how to improve in the future.”
You could start by improving your grammar. It’s “than” not “then.” Other than that, pretty good post. This is my first comment, so let me know what I did wrong and how to improve in the future.
yeah we kinda check our grammar at the door for fanposts
I am aware that “kinda” is not a real word
Grammar
“Other than that, pretty good post” is not a complete sentence.

Not sure I agree with these rankings.
Relative to the ACC we are where we always are.
Fear the Turgle!
Just got an email from scout
Who is Jarrett Ross, 2013 CB? Says he just committed. Anyone got any info?
Oh...
Jarrett Ross, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound sophomore athlete at the Charter School of Wilmington and younger brother of current Maryland Terrapin tailback Brandon Ross, has picked up his first offer from a familiar school according to his personal trainer.
"Jarrett was offered by the University of Maryland," Bo Hunter told Scout.com. "He really is a tremendous athlete, especially given that he’s going into his junior year. He’s camped at several schools this summer and has run 4.38 and 4.39 in the 40-yard dash."
