Hawkins Sets WBB Rebounding Record
What looked like a tight ACC game after 20 minutes (37-37) turned into a Maryland blowout of Wake Forest with an 86-58 win highlighted by Tianna Hawkins' record-setting double-double. With 18 points and 24 rebounds, Hawkins set the program's rebounding record in only 27 minutes on the floor. The record had previously been shared by two members of the 1977 team, Angie Scott and Debbie Jones.
Four other Terps were in double digits for points.

Posters on this board
I get the impression that posters on this board would rather speculate about what school some hot shot six grader is considering seven years hence than to actually go to games.
The Maryland Michigan game that the women played was the finest game played in the Comcast this year. The Duke, Miami and UNC games will all be monster games
Show me the money!
theslug, that’s what it’s all about so you’re right we’ll probably see more posts about Jalen Tabor on this board than about all of WBB. or any women’s sport for that matter. Hawkins is an amazingly entertainingly tenacious player. She’s not a man and she’s not going to get rebounds above the rim but when she stays out of foul trouble she’s a double double machine. Not only an amazing 24 rebounds in 27 minutes but 14 offensive rebounds. I’ve seen games where entire teams don’t get 14 offensive rebounds.
Terps stepped up their defense in the second half. Let’s hope this carries over to the game at Duke on Sunday.
You are taking this too personally
With the exception of tennis, women’s sports don’t have a big following in this country. You like the sport so kudos to you—keep following it.
But yea, I would rather read a post about Tabor than one on the lady Terps. Glad they are having a good year and all but it’s just not my cup of tea.
Woooooo
Great to see the WBB team continuing to rock. Much congrats to Hawkins and to the Terps.
Love that they’ll get a rematch with Miami. That should be awesome.
Assumption is the mother of all @#%-ups.

It was an insane performance by Hawkins
When I saw she had 15 boards at halftime, I couldn’t believe it. What a night. Congrats to Tianna!
