Last December when the Fridge was fired, I was very upset with K.A. and Maryland, and like others who post on here, I cussed them for every cent they're worth. Friends here in S.C. asked me what I thought about it and, to be honest, I hated the move and voiced my hopes that the football team would leap into a dark despair for treating an alum that way. Well, let's be honest, time heals all wounds.
I am really looking forward to tonight's game...and especially the season. Edsall deserves our support, but even more, the team deserves our support as well. They didn't ask for all the distractions...they just want to play ball. Even if Miami didn't have eight players suspended I'd still like our chances. I think we have a REALLY GOOD chance to start 4-0 heading to Atlanta on October 8, and I also think there's a sneaky good chance we could be 6-0 going to Tallahassee on the 22nd. I know it's early and as the old adage goes, "take one game at a time", but the talent is there. I guess tonight we'll learn just how Edsall is going to handle this team, and to be honest, I'm anxious to see. 8 o'clock can't get here soon enough. Go 'Terps.
BTW...is it me or is beating Notre Dame just not the same anymore???
