I'm sure this won't resonate with many people considering all of the recruiting and expansion talk, but Maryland Men's Basketball Strength and Condition Coach Paul Ricci has stepped down and taken the same job at Texas Tech.
This is to me a much bigger deal than at first glance considering how incredible he has been over his three years at Maryland. He's the one largely credited with transforming Jordan Williams from a flabby freshman to a dominant sophomore. Ricci would've been incredible to have around to get some bulk on Len and Layman, and could've had the same serious impact on Shaq. I wish Ricci the best and hope we can find someone half as good as he was.
