There's a new McGary story up on Rivals this a.m. with an interview with his AAU coach that speaks complimentary of Turge and Maryland without really saying much about where he's leaning. I'm not going to say more about McGary out of respect for the paywall. But I will spoil one interesting quote though from McGary's AAU coach who was very complimentary of other Terp verbals.
It's about Layman:
"I don't like him, Dan," said Brumm. "I LOVE him! Forget the rankings. That kid is one of the best players in the country. I think his upside is off the charts. Hey, he will be as good as any incoming ACC recruit in this class when all is said and done.
"I think he'll be a pro, and not necessarily someone who stays all four years. I love his size, his skills, and his demeanor. That staff did a great job in identifying Layman, and evaluating him. I think he'll be a big time player for Maryland."
Anyone who can should check out the whole piece. There's a lot more, and I've tried to leave most of it alone out of respect.
