The Layman-Grant Syndrome

Assuming you buy into the theory that Jerami Grant dropped UMD from his short list because Jake Layman beat him to the punch, does the same thing apply to the prospects of Mitch McGary committing after the addition of Alex Len to the roster?

Yes, Len is in a different class than MM; and no, we don't really know much a lot about Len; but he'll split playing time with both Cleare and any other 4 we might pick up. And if Len is the potential lottery pick some think he is, will that damage the prospects of picking up a "game-changing" power forward?

Conversely, does that make it more important to pick up another "tweener"?

Too much stuff to think about.
