"As far as Maryland is concerned, hey, those guys (Turgeon and company) have been recruiting Terry since he was a freshman. They knew about him early on.
"I think at one point they might have felt that Terry would not want to go all the way to Texas for college. But when they got to Maryland, they called us immediately and let us know they were still very interested in him. And Maryland's a lot closer to home (Raleigh) than Texas."
"But I can tell you that Maryland is definitely going to get an official visit. I mean, hey, that's my home. All my family, except for my dad, still lives up that way. They would never forgive me if we didn't consider the home school.
"I grew up in the Glen Burnie/Linthicum area, and my wife is from Baltimore City. I used to play ball in Cole Field House when Lefty Driesell was coaching there. I haven't been to see the new arena, but am looking forward to it."
Official visit will be some time in Sept.
