Rivals has ranked the Terps #44 in their preseason countdown. Some here at TT will most likely be disappointed with this ranking, but it is better than some spots I’ve seen our Terps ranked at from other sites (someone posted a link here a lil while back with the Terps at #69). Personally, I’m not upset with 44. I think the team has plenty to prove before we are considered top 25 or even on the bubble for it.

Rivals does seem to be on top of things, as they talk about Tate switching to LB and even mention Justin Lewis’ dismissal, which just happened a few days ago.

I found the "Impact Newcomer" section pretty interesting as Andre Monroe is not somebody I have heard much about.

The realist in me says that I definitely think it is possible that Rivals is right when they say "Maryland could have a better team than last season and finish with a worse record". However, the fan in me says screw that.

ACC-wise, we’re ahead of:

NC State (64)

Georgia Tech (65)

Virginia (80)

Wake Forest (87)

Puke (91)

Which means that Rivals considers us the 7th best team in the ACC. Let’s go out and prove em wrong, eh?
