I know there has been a lot of gripe about the lack of talent in MD 2012 Football Recruiting class. I am here to say we are on the brink of being in the top 25, I would evaluate us at #26 at the moment. ESPN just updated the 2012 Team rankings this past week and the last three in the top 25 are #23 Virginia, #24 Vanderbilt and #25 North Carolina. So this allows us to compare ourselves versus two ACC opponents who I would say MD matches up very well with year in and year out, along with Mr. Franklins team Vanderbilt.

MD has 14 total commits in 2012: 4 star - 2 3 star - 6 2 star - 3 Unranked - 3

Virginia has 19 total commits in 2012 4 star - 2 3 star - 3 2 star - 2 Unranked - 2

Vanderbilt has 12 total commits in 2012 4 star - 4 3 star - 6 2 star - 0 Unranked - 2

North Carolina has 12 total commits in 2012 4 star - 3 3 star - 6 2 star - 0 Unranked - 3

If you look at these numbers this has MD right in with this group which are the last three in the top 25 class rankings, so apparently Edsall and Co. is doing a lot better then people are making us feel and how some people on this site have commented that we are not getting good players.

MD still has many top notch guys out there that could commit which most definitely propel us into the top 20.
