Bottom line is we got played by SM.  He most likely never intended to leave UA and just wanted to get concessions from the UA AD. All "executives" do this and we bore the brunt of it.  KA is NOT to blame; neither is our beloved Gary.  Gary loves UMD more than anything, other than his kids, sorry new wifey, and would not do anything that he thought would harm UMD. Timing of a resignation is never good, and for Gary, this was as good a time as any. If blame is to be placed, it should be directed towards "reporters, bloggers, IMS sites" and all others trying to "out scoop" each other in the name of excelling at their jobs or just "out scooping" each other. That is the nature of the beast. and the price we pay for reading/absorbing the information.  So be it.  We must move on to the next up, and hope that all of our resources, KA, KP, SB, et al, go after the best ball coach we can find and maybe it will work out for the best. I know, dreaming?  But what else to do.  Gotta love the UMD, always have always will.
