For all the grief we gave J-Will.

Based on the dearth of talent in this years draft, it absolutely looks like he made the right move. Seriously, without looking at a mock draft, start writing down who you think are going to be the top ten players. I gave this challenge to a friend of mine who watches every college hoops game he can regardless of school, I expected him to be able to give me at least 10 players who would go in the top 15.

his list after the jump

1) Kyrie Irving

2) Derrick Williams

3) Enes Kanter (Maybe?)

4) um. er, ....

he eventually came up with Knight from Kentucky, which is was too high for him. If nothing else, it should show you that Jordan Williams is a first round LOCK because he has two things going for him. First in the NBA draft, potential matters more than college production, and secondly, who else is there? It's basically two great college players, a bunch of what should have been second round picks that are going to be first rounders because you HAVE to pick somebody, and a few players from Europe who basically need time to develop.

Do I think he was ready to go? absolutely not and I think Maryland would be a fantastic team next year with him on it. But really, it was 100% the correct move from him, because next year he'll be drafted later simply because of the quality of next years draft class.

So to you Mr. Jordan Williams, I hate the move you made, but it was absolutely the right choice for you. and I wish you nothing but luck.
