One last time. KA did not screw up the SM deal.

First read this from AP posted on ESPN:

"But when Maryland came calling, Miller figured he at least had to listen. He spent most of his life on the East Coast, growing up in Pennsylvania. He also coached at Xavier, and still has plenty of family and friends back east.

Miller reportedly met with Maryland officials in Las Vegas over the weekend, sending the speculation swirling. In the end, Miller quashed all the reports by agreeing to a contract extension late Saturday night, a deal he says will keep him in Tucson for "the long haul."  The article alos states that discussions with UA AD have been going on since March.  http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=6516939

"It was an opportunity that I really felt in the best interests of our own family and myself to at least pause and consider," he said. "By doing that, it also really strengthens your belief on the place that you're at."

To me this clearly indicates that his interest in UMD was a negotiating ploy.  I submit that KA did not screw this up, one last time.  SM sold KA that we was really interested in UMD.  So let's get past this and throw our TOTAL support behind our new coach.  He starts with a clean slate and we will learn much in the coming weeks, since his immediated job will be assistant coaches, LOI recruits, and recruits he garners on his own.

As ALWAYS,  GO TERPS!!!
