CHAPEL HILL, NC - FEBRUARY 27: Terrell Stoglin #12 of the Maryland Terrapins shoots the ball over Kendall Marshall #5 of the North Carolina Tar Heels during their game at the Dean E. Smith Center on February 27, 2011 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. (Photo by Streeter Lecka/Getty Images)

The conference's official site was just updated: the 2010-11 All-ACC team has been selected. Jordan Williams, unsurprisingly, made first team. Terrell Stoglin also made the all-freshmen team. The relevant teams shamelessly copied from the conference's official site, linked above:

First Team

Nolan Smith, Duke (225)+
Jordan Williams, Maryland (210)
Malcolm Delaney, Virginia Tech (202)
Kyle Singler, Duke (199)
Reggie Jackson, Boston College (190)

All-Freshman Team

Harrison Barnes, North Carolina (75)+
Travis McKie, Wake Forest (74)
Kendall Marshall, North Carolina (71)
Terrell Stoglin, Maryland (62)
C.J. Leslie, N.C. State (46)

This is the second consecutive year that Maryland has had a player on both the first team and All-Freshman team, as Williams was on the rookie squad last year and Greivis Vasquez was on the first team. (Hopefully it'll continue next year, with Stoglin graduating to first team and Nick Faust taking his place).

Williams was second in votes to only Nolan Smith, who is a lock for player of the year. Considering the other three players behind him are seniors, that may mean he'll be the front-runner for conference player of the year next season, if he returns.

Congrats to both. Considering their youth, this is just another indication that though the present may be dreary, there's a bright future somewhere out there.
