Like everyone on this board, I'm looking forward to Pe'Shon Howard and Alex Len joining their teammates on the floor, after recovering from injury (Howard) and serving his suspension (Len). Recent conjecture indicates it's possible both will be joining the team at roughly the same time toward the end of this month.
That news raises several questions: Will affect of Pe' and Len on the dynamics of the team cause us to play poorly for a few games while everyone gets used to playing together? If both return at about the same time, will it create greater (short-term) confusion as a team? How will Padgett adjust to playing along side Len? Will he lose some of his aggressiveness?
How will the team react to playing with a true point guard on the floor? I don't expect Faust, for instance, to find his game the minute Pe' steps on the floor; there WILL be an adjustment period. I wonder if Padgett will get more touches in the low post, and if so will his improvement progress more quickly? How will Stoglin react to no longer needing to create offense on his own.
Ultimately, if there is a dropp-off in the quality of play, I expect it to be short-term; followed by considerable overall improvement. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.
