...seemed to be wearing the skimpiest unis I've ever seen on Terp cheerleaders

Not to start some lurid stream, but we had a lond discussion about it on the game thread last night. Have the uniforms changed? Maybe it was the color selection (Gold & White) making them seem skimpier than usual. Certainly, most of the SEC squads sport equivalent outfits in terms of skimpiness so they are not shockingly skimpy per se (imho), but seem to be beyond what I've seen them wear at MD. Then again, I am still surprised at the uniforms whenever I see women's track and field competitors compete in their bikinis.

We also spoke about daughters (I have two) and some girls just NEED to dance. And when you dance on a squad, you have to wear the outfits provided. It just seemed that there were less fabric used for the outfits than usual.

Not sure whether cheerleaders get any sort of stipend or scholarship or have to pay out of pocket (as opposed to the sport formally known as Competitive Cheer) but it seems to be a labor of love for the young women.
